FollowSneak ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website and mobile application at followsneak.base44.app (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

Information We Collect

• Account information. If you create an account, we store your email address and a password hash. We never receive or store your plaintext password.
• Search queries. When you search a public Instagram username, we record the username you searched, the time of the search, and the results returned, so we can show your recent searches and cache results for performance.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive your Stripe customer ID and subscription status, but we never see or store your full card number — that stays with Stripe.
• Contact form submissions. If you contact us through our form, we receive the name, email, and message you provide.
• Usage data. We may collect anonymous analytics such as pages visited and features used to improve the Service.

Data We Do Not Collect

FollowSneak surfaces publicly available Instagram data through third-party scraping APIs. We do not access private accounts, and we do not ask for your Instagram login credentials. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
• To process payments and manage your subscription or search credits.
• To respond to your support requests and messages.
• To detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse.

Data Sharing

We share data only with the service providers that help us operate: Stripe for payment processing, our hosting and database provider (Base44), and the third-party API we use to retrieve public Instagram data. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights.

Data Retention

We keep your account and search history for as long as your account is active. Cached Instagram search results are retained for a limited period to improve performance and then automatically removed. You may request deletion of your account at any time from the account menu in the app.

Your Rights

You may access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you by using the account controls in the app or by contacting us. If you are in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional rights under the GDPR and CCPA respectively, including the right to object to processing and the right to data portability.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the revised policy.
